In a rather tepid end-of-season English Championship affair, Nottingham Forest played out a 0-0 draw at home to Bristol City.

With nothing left to play for aside from pride and progress, Aitor Karanka’s side couldn’t find a breakthrough against the 10th-placed side, with former Robins star Lee Tomlin missing a second half penalty.

Forest managed to fashion 24 shots against Lee Johnson’s side, but only six landed on target, telling a story of a wasteful attack in the final third.

Fans were left especially frustrated with the performance of striker Daryl Murphy, who struggled across the 90 minutes in his first start for over a month.

The 6ft 3in forward has scored just 7 goals in 28 appearances this season.

Supporters feel his time is up at the club with many calling for him to be sold this summer. Now 35 years of age though, will there be many suitors for his signature?
